About Me

I live and breathe Retro Games and want to share my passion and knowledge with all Retro game fans old and new alike. I would love to hear about everyone's unique experiences with Retro Games whether you grew up with them or are jumping into the scene now as there are always new "old" games to discover. So whether you are an old school gamer wanting to relive the best moments of video game history or a new gamer who is curious to see what was all the rage back in the day, welcome! Kick back, enjoy the magic that is retro gaming and lets play some damn games without waiting for a goddamn update to download and install. As a video game collector I will always showcase game pickups on streams as I try to build a mini castle made up of retro games to live in one day. I really need to catalog my game collection as well so some streams will probably just be me starting at a spreadsheet or talking about games as opposed to you know, actually PLAYING them. It's not ideal but hey, we still get to talk about retro games right?

Real Hardware Promise

For my retro game streams I will ONLY ever use the original game console hardware. However to improve the video quality some of my original consoles have been modified to output an RGB signal. These modification have no impact on game speed, music or gameplay so what you will be seeing is exactly what you would experience on original hardware. For my consoles with no RGB connection or I have not got around to it yet I will step down to S-Video but hopefully nothing lower than that. I will always try to play on ORIGINAL games as much as possible however I WILL use repro carts or burned CD games in original hardware consoles in instances where game prices are bat-$hit crazy or when it is the only way to play the game. I will always try to let people know when this is the case during a stream. Also just as an FYI I do not look down on emulation or everdrive devices and in fact I believe emulation helps grow our hobby as a whole, I just prefer the look, feel and timing of original hardware.

RPG Long Play VOTE!

One thing I would love to do for my stream is a blind play through on a number of RPGs that missed out on in my youth. There are so many fantastic late SNES and early PS1/PS2 era RPGs that I skipped over and need to go through but need help in picking a game so over the next few weeks I will preview several RPG games on each stream to get a feel for the fight mechanics, music and story so I can decide how to prioritize but in the end I would like you all to vote so go ahead and hit the link below to let me know what you would like to see! (new poll coming...stay tuned!) * PSone Suikoden * PSone Alundra * PSone WIld Arms * PSone Chrono Cross * PSone Legend of Mana * PSone Breath of Fire 3 * PSone Jade Cocoon * SNES Terranigma (REPRO) * SNES Earthbound * Saturn Panzer Dragoon Saga * Saturn Shining the Holy Ark * Saturn Legend of Oasis * TG16 CD Y's I & II * Genesis Sword of Vermillion
