Je suis Richard Parker! Let me tell you about the lore of the name. You probably know it as a tiger from Life of Pi, but it's not all... Let me tell you about a book, written in 1838, by Edgar Allan Poe: The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket. It's a sea tale where 4 survivors are stranded on a lifeboat after a disaster. Facing starvation, they draw straws to choose one person to sacrifice. Richard Parker loses the draw and is eaten by the others... Coincidentally, in 1884, an English yacht named the Mignonette sank. 4 men escaped onto a small dingy boat, ran out of food and water, and faced death. The crew killed and ate their 17-year-old cabin boy. His name was also Richard Parker... Force n courage ;)
